After the heartbreaking and emotional ordeal of burying my mother and sister, Franklin and I went to Half Moon Bay State Park, located on the Pacific Coast, for some much needed rest and relaxation. We discovered the park a week prior when we went to dump our waste tanks. The weather was uncharacteristically warm on that day, but when we went back to stay, after the memorial, it was the cold Half Moon Bay Beach that I remembered, but it didn’t matter. We bundled up and braved the cold for a few photos, but spent most of our time enjoying the view from inside the RV.
The RV park was basic, but it did offer full hookups. Reservations are best made online or over the phone. Rate was about $55-65 per night. They did have primitive spots for $35…if you can get one. They were booked every time we checked.
